Frequently asked questions

Which country does MCLIEG serve?

MCLIEG specialises in pre-import assessment and subsequent project coordination for vehicles entering Germany. The work follows German approval and registration requirements. After German registration, vehicles with valid insurance and the required documents can travel in other EU countries under applicable rules. Long-term use or re-registration in another country requires the relevant local formalities.

How do I obtain pricing?

Email info@mclieg.nl to request the service description and fee documents. After reviewing your vehicle and project information, we confirm the scope, quotation and applicable tax treatment before engagement.

Are actual import and registration costs included?

Assessment fees and actual expenditure are listed separately. Third-party testing, approval, technical data, modifications, transport, taxes and registration are additional. Extra paid work arranged by us requires prior confirmation.

How are re-reviews and additional work handled?

The standard service includes an initial assessment, one re-review following rectification and a final report. Further reviews or material technical-version changes follow the fee documents and a quotation agreed in advance.

Can I enquire without a VIN?

Yes. Start with the make, model, technical version and source country. A formal assessment of a specific vehicle requires its VIN and supporting evidence; conclusions apply to the vehicle and evidence reviewed.

How does the assessment help with German registration?

Before purchase or shipment, MCLIEG reviews the technical documents and identifies issues affecting German approval and registration. The report sets out the approval pathway, rectification requirements, missing documents and estimated costs. For vehicles ready to progress, it gives the next implementation steps; where major obstacles exist, it identifies them early to help reduce avoidable purchase, transport and arrival costs. Final registration is handled by the German authorities on the basis of vehicle testing and the required documents.
